Our scope from Arup was “detail all of the stats services within the street and immediate surrounding area”.
As is normal with our reports once confirmation is received from the client the order is passed through to our Production Team and is assigned to one researcher. This researcher will be the sole point of contact on that report and is able to deal with specific queries from the client and liaise with each of the utilities that we request data from.
Once the researcher has identified the utilities that have apparatus in that area of London several letters, emails and online searches are then undertaken to obtain the each utility’s mapping data. As the data was received over the next few days each utility map is checked by our team to see if it covers the site and is then archived.
Missing plans and late responses were chased up by the researcher speaking with each affected utility. On the delivery date all the utility information as sent to the client.
Central London sites often have a lot of below ground utilities, and tunnels, in fact we were able to bring more than ten utility networks and features to the clients attention.
